Q: How do I reset a remote on my Toyota Corolla?
I replaced the battery on my remote keyless entry on my 2000 Toyota Corolla.
It still will not open the door. Do I need to do something to reset it? Does it need to be sycronized or something? I dont have the book that came with it that tells me about the alarm system.

A: this is for toyota corolla 2003.i dont nou this instruction work on yuor car or nou.Start with the key out of the ignition. Open the driver door (all other doors are closed). Driver door is unlocked (other doors don’t matter).

Perform these steps within 5 seconds
Insert the key into the ignition (don’t turn it) Pull key out
Insert the key into the ignition (don’t turn it) Pull key out

Perform these steps within 40 seconds
Close, then open the drivers door.
Close, then open the drivers door.
Insert the key into the ignition (don’t turn it) and pull it out.

Perform these steps within 40 seconds
Close, then open the drivers door.
Close, then open the drivers door.
Insert the key into the ignition and leave in the ignition.
Close the drivers door
Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can go without cranking the engine), then back to off .
Remove the key from the ignition.

Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should lock then unlock automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.

Perform these steps within 40 seconds
Press the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 1.5 seconds
Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door locks should lock then unlock once indicating successful programming. If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps 6a and 6b as the remote was not accepted.

A: pioneer speakers are.. “meh” unless you get their high end models, which can cost 200+ just for a pair

polk audio speakers are good, along with inifinity speakers.. go to www.crutchfield.com and find the “outfit my car” tab and put all of your vehicle specs in and it will show you what size speakers it takes and what will or wont fit and where it will fit

Q: Can i install an intercooling system in my 2006 toyota corolla s if i have a trd supercharger already ?
I have a 2006 toyota corolla s with a toyota racing development (trd) supercharger. can i still install an intercooling system in it ? Please help!

A: With a Supercharger you do not need a Intercooler, those are for turbos.

A: Sounds too simple to be true but get a tape measure and measure them. Measure both as some cars have different sizes left vs right. The wipers are sold in inch measurements to ease the selection process.

Wipers are a get what you pay for item. Cheap price is cheap quality and Viceversa

A: i own a repair shop,and the only differencee is the trim package it comes with ,if you had both cars setting side by side you could see the differenc,but other than that at a distance you wouldn’t know the difference in them,and one has wheel cover,and one has the factory mag wheel on it,but basically there’s not that much difference in them,,good luck,i Hope this help,s,,and have a good thanks giving.

The guy at Autozone said it was the same thing and recommended Coastal Automatic Transmission Fluid D/M. Is this the correct fluid to put in to my 2000 Toyota corolla?
Do you know that color the fluid should be? Does it matter?

A: yes is the same fluid but coastal is the cheapest brand of oil.

Q: What is that noise from my toyota corolla vents when the heat is on?
I have a 2003 toyota corolla and just recently got an oil change and afterwards I started hearing a noise from my vents when I cut the heat on.

A: I’ve been here before. My guess would be that an object has gotten into the blower motor housing and is rubbing, flapping or making contact with the fan. Once mine was simply a piece of folded up paper, another time in was an ink pen that had fallen through the defroster vent. Some models have an access panel you can remove to look see. Try switching between heat and cooling, maybe you can dislodge whatever it might be. It could be that the bearings/ bushings in the fan motor are worn or in need of lube. I don’t think the oil change truly was the cause.

Q: What are good websites for toyota corolla parts?
I own a 1999 Toyota Corolla, I want to know if there is any websites where I can buy parts/kits for things such as the engine, transmission, and other major things, for cheap of course, to bring this car back up to good driving condition.

Also, if I decide to replace the engine and transmission entirely, what makes and models will fit into a 1999 corolla aside from the original(preferably from newer cars).

A: You won’t always need to use new parts as your Corolla is not
new itself… ebay and www.carpart-com are excellent resources.
And many of these parts have low miles on them, and some
brand new as well..

Q: Does the Toyota Corolla have the same engine as the Lotus Elise?
I know the Lotus Elise has a 1.8 L engine made by Toyota. Is it the same as a Toyota Corolla?

A: Not exactly – the Lotus uses the higher performance 1.8 that was in the last Celica GTS and the Matrix GSR. It’s somewhat more powerful in the Lotus, I believe it’s perhaps due to tuning and lower restriction exhaust, but it is pretty much the same engine.

I don’t believe Toyota puts that in the Corolla though.

A: 5 Master keys, 3 valet keys. 4 remotes.

Q: My 1995 Toyota Corolla shakes when at a complete stop. What could be some possible problems?
I recently bought a 1995 Toyota Corolla (manual transmission). It runs great except lately it’s been shaking when at a complete stop (either in neutral or 1st gear). As soon as I give it some gas, the shaking stops. It seems my gas mileage has gone down as well. Any ideas what could be wrong? (I should note that I live in a very cold, wet climate with temperatures below freezing)

A: give the car a tune up it could need spark plugs and cables oil and filters and some liquid use to clean the engine and put anti freeze
