Chevrolet Camaro

A: You can get a car that looks like bumblebee for about $23000 sticker, You can get a car that looks and will have the engine that was in the one in the movie for about $40000 sticker. I would wait a few months for the demand to die back some most dealers are talking about 20000 over sticker for the high end cars but as with the charger that will soon wear off. waiting will save yourself money and wait for the demand to die just a bit once it does go in and order one from the factory at your local chevy dealer.

Q: 1988 Chevrolet Camaro with a 700r4 transmission will not shift from 2nd to 3rd gear?
The problem started this morning. The tranny shifts from 1st to 2nd fine. Then instead of shifting into 3rd, it goes to neutral instead of engaging the gear. What are some of the things that could be wrong other than the tranny being fried.

A: Low fluid or a valve sticking in the valve body.

Q: How much would a older Chevrolet Camaro cost?
Either nice, running or that can be fixed.
I need to figure out about how much money I need to save up, It’s my fiances dream car and I would love to give him one as a wedding present. Even if it needs fixed up, I think he would love it more if he did that himself.

A: The question is how old we are talking about. You can find some models are more expensive than others and some quite rare Camaros that most people would no be able to afford. If you want a not really fancy, but in good condition first generation Camaro is going to cost you about $23.000 and if you want one to be restore it would be between $ 8.000 and $ 12.000 . The Second generation it is more affordable and you can buy a normal one in good conditions for $ 15.000. The third and fourth generation are quite cheap. You can buy a normal third generation for $ 2.000 and a really rare one for $15.000. The fourth generation would cost you from $2.000 up to $10.000.

Q: How do I telll if a Chevrolet Camaro is a real Z28?
In particular a 1973. Is it the Z28 on the data plate or the engine code in the vin; both?

A: It will be on the trim tag, driver side cowl area. The option code for Z/28 will be dead center of the plate. If it was originally ordered with racing stripes it will be something like Z28 YF8 and Also, if it is an original Z/28 the fifth digit of the VIN# will be a “T”.

Q: how much would the in insurance be on a 1985 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z28?
i just turend 16 and ill get my licenes in about 3 months and i saw a 1985 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z28 the other day that im thinking about buying and i was wondering about how much the inshurance would be on it if someone could give me a rough estimate it would be great thanks

A: Never mind these Fools!!

You want Minimum-Coverage with that car, as it is too Old to be worth putting Full-Coverage on! ;^)

Now, I’m not sure what State your in, or what kind of Set-up your Parents would have you on that kind of Car, but it’s So Old, I’d say the MAX that Minimum-Coverage should Cost, is about $600 every 6-Months, or just Less than $1,100 per Year.

Insurance for you at 16 will be High even for Minimum Coverage, but not too high! ;^)
If your in a High-Dollar State (Like The East Coast or West Coast), then expect that Figure to be close to Double.
When I was 17 in 1999 and got a 1991 Camaro RS, the Minimum Coverage was like $450 every 6-Months or something.

Q: Should i get a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Hatchback or is it a bad choice for a second car?
Should I?
Oh and i forgot how much horse power is it?

A: I would recommend it. Their good cars with awesome performance potential. They also get 28 mpg hwy… (*gasp* an American V8 with 300 hp gets as good fuel econmy as most 150 hp 4 cyl. cars and easily outperforms them- even in handling) so don’t listen to the first post, he’s either ignorant or biased towards imports.

Q: What do you like better, dodge challenger or chevrolet camaro?
What do you think is better in term of looks, not power? What color would you also pick?

A: Challenger for looks.

Camaro for power with decent fuel economy (the V6 is really the best of both worlds).

Mustang for the win.

Bright colors are best. Red, black or blue. Yellow, not so much. Challenger in white is always tasty, sort of like Vanishing Point, that old movie from the 1970s where the guy runs from the police in his Challenger.

Q: How do I go about finding the original owner of my 1968 Chevrolet Camaro?
I’ve tryed looking in its original department of motor vehicicals, but it was no help. Also the person who sold it to me passed away a few years back. I have its identifcation number, but still, how do I find it original owner or dealer?

A: try carfax.com – but i am not sure with a car that old

Q: What are the differences between the 1991 and 1992 Chevrolet Camaro?
Is their any differences in looks or just performance?

A: ‘91 and 92 camaros are almost 100% the same. No real major diff in them, just maybe the 25th Anniversary badge on the 92. Same power, gearing, engines, transmissions, rear ends, etc on all models/packages on 91 and 92 camaros

Q: How much does a motor cost for a 98 chevrolet camaro?
I found one for $600 and the owner says everything else is good but the motor needs work. Is it worth buying and getting a motor or should I find another car to purchase? Looking for a good used car.

A: If the only thing needing work is the engine, he would have fixed it and either kept it or sold it for more. In a non running condition you can’t check it out,so I guarantee it needs more than he claims. That being said, it may be worth fixing if you like camaro’s. The cost of an engine will vary depending on the size and whether you will need to have it installed or plan on doing it yourself.

Q: How much would it cost to have the rust removed from a 1984 Chevrolet Camaro?
There is a bit of rust lining the bottom of the door… How much would it cost me to have this fixed?

A: take it to a body shop and ask them .. but this old a* * car why bother

Q: Is It Hard To Replace A Harmonic Balencer On a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro?
I am looking at buying a 1997 chevy camaro that needs the harmonic balencer replaced. Just wondering If this is a hard task or a serious problem. The engine is a 3.8L V6. Thanks

A: go to a checker auto part store or place like that. they should tell you how or they could give you the part

Q: Is a 1981 Chevrolet Camaro a good choice for a drag car?
I am 15 years old, not a lot of money, but I have a 350 chevy small block, powerglide transmission, and a dream.

A: that is a great car to use for racing. Easy to get parts for (both engine and body ) and you can get a lot of power out of that small block. But I would sell that powerglide and opt out for a turbo 350 or 400. Also a 12 bolt rear with c-clip eliminators.

P.S. That powerglide is a rare tranny selling it would help you fund most of parts for a good engine build
