A: Next year as a 2009 model. It wont have the 400 hp LS2 because that engine was is being replaced by the 430 hp LS3. Many dealers have already taken deposits so you probably wont get one.
Bryan – They didn’t put all that money into selling it for 5 years and canceling it. It shares a platform with several other new cars (Pontiac G8, next Impala, maybe a Buick, and another Chevy coupe) so it will be cheaper to make than before. The Mustang sells well. With new Challenger also coming out I don’t think its going away.

I am looking for a 1967 Camaro Rs/ss and i see different price ranges i found a camaro for $20k,$35k,$69k,$100k okay and with these camaros they are the same their numbers are matching so all i want to know is why are these cars so different in Price range?

A: i’m sure these comaro’s have different features. different paint job’s. anything different. the slightest thing like a different brand engine. the tires. all these things could affect the price range.
Q: Does anyone know what the difference is between LT1 and LS1 engines in Camaros?
I’ve been lookin at a couple V8 Camaros and was just wondering the differences, if any. All I know is that the LS1’s are in the later part of the generation.
A: It’s strange that no one has mentioned this yet, but the LT1 is an iron block with aluminum heads and the LS1 is all aluminum with 6 bolt main bearings. As others have said, they are very different engines. Almost nothing is interchangeable on them.

A: 67 had vent windows, 68 did not, 68 had side marker lights, 67 did not. 69 was a complete body line change, with a key in the column instead of in the dash like the 67 and 68. the overall basic design between the three was similar.

A: Cuz people are stupid and think after they have owned the car for a while and dumped on 25K miles they can add 5-10K on what they paid for it, mainly cuz they cant afford the high car note they agreed to. That basically sums it up.

A: Yes, in the Z28 between 67- 69, only available with a 4 speed.

A: A coupe is a two door car. So all Camaro’s are coupes. You have the LS which is the cheap v6 version the 1 LT a nicer v6 version with cloth seats and better rims. The 2LT which adds leather. The 1 SS which is cloth and then the 2 SS with leather. Price is a big difference but I love my moms 2LT.

A: It is the 1967 and 1968 models that are very similar. A quick way to tell the difference is that the 1968 model, as well as every other American car of that year, has side marker lights.

Hello, I own a 1999 Camaro and it’s an Fbody.
Next year I have the choice of either getting the new Camaro or the new Challenger.
Driving wise are they both similar to the car that I have now. I have never test driven the newer ones, but have been told they are RWD. Is there a difference from the older Fbody cars?
A: Yes there is an 11 year difference between the Camaros and 30 yearas for the Challenger, better suspension , brakes and steering, improved manufacturing methods.
THey say they don’t make them like they used to, thank God they dont.

Why do people like mustangs over camaros? The camaro came with a stronger stock engine and was easily the most reliable of the two. The camaro wasnt produced in such a big hurry like the mustang was. The camaro was the most luxourius of the two also and DEFINATELY has better looks. So why do some people like mustangs better than camaros?

The reason the old mustangs are so cheap is there were too many of them and no one wants one now. There werent many camaros and they are now one of the most popular cars. Explain to me why the mustang came with only a 289 and the camaro came with a 350 that spit out tons of hp. The camaro’s goal wasnt to sell as many as possible it was to give the people a car that was worth their money. Thats why Don Yenko and Baldwin Motion made special editions of these cars. How is the mustang more reliable? The reason they cut off the production of camaros and firebirds is to wait a few years for the public to beg for them back and now they are gonna literally be standing there with rakes when they release the 09 camaro into the market.
I wonder why the 71 and 73 Camaros I own are still pushing rediculous hp with the stock 350 engines in them? Maybe it’s because theyre so unreliable…I guess thats why theyre still killin mustangs.

Q: Is it common for the transmission mount to keep failing/breaking on 4th generation Camaros?
Hello, on my 1999 v6 Camaro I have gone through three transmission mounts in less than 2 years. Is this normal for this type of car. I do mash the pedal from stops and get on the car sometimes, but is this normal?
A: Yes its pretty common failure just due to the torque arm suspension design with tq arm on trans tail shaft.
Stop buying stock or cheap rubber mounts. Put a $25-30 ploy trans mount in and you will not break it any more.
I have used my 1 ES ploy trans mount in a 1973 c10 for 2 years and in my 1988 camaro for the last 7 years
Q: What easy quick things can i do to upgrade my 98 camaros performance?
sadly its only the v6 which is why i want to add a little kick to it i am wondering if theres anything i can clean out or slightly modify or even add on to my car to give it a little more power open to any suggestions even if they cost money i just kind of want a basic checklist of things i can do in my spare time haha
A: Get a tuner, or a chip for your application. That is a quick plug in type of thing. Install a high flow aircleaner, maybe 10 minutes tops to put it in. A high flow cat. Not so quick an idea, get 4.11’s for rearend gear ratio. Then tune your computer so that it recognizes the actual speed your going. There are more things I cant think of them rightnow.
