1969 camaro
Are you looking for a 1969 camaro?
Q: How do you remove the two pins on a 1969 Camaro steering joint?
I have photo of the joint if it helps
I am trying to replace the joint on my 1969 camaro and cannot remove the two pins that locate the joint.. any ideas would be helpful
A: The pins are part of the rag joint assembly. You can’t remove them. If you have the two bolts out that hold the pieces together, the next thing you need to do is climb under the dash and loosen or remove the flange that holds the steering column to the firewall. You will also have to undo the bracket that holds the column under the dash. Then the two shafts will separate, and you can get the rag joint out. I used a box on the seat to hold the column in about the right position, to put it back together.
Q: Would a cheap 1970 chevelle or a cheap 1969 camaro be a good first car?
Im 14 right now and have inherited a 1995 ugly black ford taurus. I figure i can sell it for enough to get either of my cars of choice pretty cheap and have a little left over to fix it up a little. Im just wondering because ill be taking drivers ed this summer.
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – autoinsurance.noneto.com
Q: Dropping a LS engine in a 1969 camaro?
Im planning on dropping a LS3 engine with a T56 transmission in my 1969 Camaro. is their a list of things you can give me that i will need to do this? (radiator, fuel pump, tank, mounts, chassis struts, electrical gear, anything)
A: their are so many things involved into a swap like this.. if i were talking to you in person the discussion would be an hour long.. i suggest searching “LS1 1st gen camaro swap” even though your swapping a LS3 in this will be great start for you
Q: Want to build a diesel engine to fit into a 1969 Camaro?
If I started from the ground up with parts from a regular gasoline engine and parts from a diesel engine, could I make this work? If so, what are the major parts I would need? It’s a crazy idea but I think I could make it work.
A: that a tarded thing to do. why dont you just put a 125cc motorcycle engine in . you dont put noisy diesels in . you put in a big gas v8 moron
Q: how to remove a ignition switch in a 1969 Camaro with out the key?
I dont have the key so I cant get it into the acc pos. Is there a way to change it with out the key? I need a web site or something for a step by step
Im sorry I dont need to take out the ignition switch I need to take out the part where the key is.
A: you have to take off the steering wheel…then the horn pad..you will see a Little screw near where the ignition is…take out screw and the ignition pops out…just turn it as you pull out

Q: Will the 69 camaro RS headlight door hinges fit a non rs 1969 camaro?
ive seen rs camaros have these but im not sure if they will fit on a regular 1969 camaro
A: Yes they will fit. You have to transfer the entire grill assembly, and the servo that operate the doors. You have to have the headlight switch that operates the servos, and the headlights. I don’t know if there are reproduction pieces for this or not, but finding the original parts are like finding chicken lips.
If you do find them, hold on to your wallet, cause the price is going to be high.
Q: Can I install some 1969 Camaro seats in an 87 IROC-Z?
I have an 87 IROC-Z and I was wondering if I can install some 69 Camaro front bucket seats in my car, and how hard is it?
A: if you are just changing them because your seats are worn. you could probably sell the 69 seats for enough to buy a really nice set for your 87. if you just want to put them in anyway. yes you can.
Q: How to get in hold with people that own a 1969 Camaro L89 SS396?

Q: I have a 1969 camaro that is not a reliable starter?
pretty much everything is recently restored. it did have a faulty ignition sensor but even after replacing that it would start but sometime i had trouble (having to try mulitple times or flooring it when i turned the ignition). it especially seems to have trouble when it has been outside on a hot day for a long time. it almost never has trouble starting up first thing in the morning. what do i need to replace?
A: sounds like either a weak fuel pump or the carb needs rebuilt or replaced.
Q: Should I sell my 1969 Camaro so I can buy a brand new one in 2010?
The new Concept Camaro is coming out in 2010. It will take alot of money to restore my 69′ Camaro. Why not buy the new one instead?
A: Will it take more than $45K to restore the 69? I doubt it. That is what you will spend on a 2010 Camaro. The 69 will be worth more in the long run, and will always be a classic. The 2010 may become a classic – but by the time it is, you will have sold it and moved on to somehting else (probably). Who knows how many 2010s they will build? They will likely dump them out as fast as people can sign on teh dotted line. It will be an eye-catcher for about 6 months, then they will be just as common as other modern F-Bodies. Whereas the 69 will only continue to become more and more rare, and prized.
Work on the one y ou have – in the long run you will be far better off.
Q: What type of sex is easiest to have in a 1969 Chevy Camaro?
